Journal #2

Victor garthers everything he needs for the monster. So the monster is laying on the table and the lighting passes threw its body but the monster doesn’t move so Victor doesn’t think the monster is alive. Victor is exhausted and he falls asleep and when he wakes the monster is standing over him Victor screams and the monster takes off running and Victor hurry’s and lock the door. Victor is scared at this point and starts to have second thoughts of giving life.

The monster is own his on now wondering around and he comes across a town and some little kids and the monster tries to go up to them but the kids start screaming and the adults sees the monster and tells there kids to back away. A gang of people starts to chase the monster out of the town the monster was scared of fire. At this point the monster didn’t have anger and didn’t understand how he was so different from everybody body else.

The monster teaches himself how to read and write and he had gotten very smart and he heads back to find Victor but he is scared of the monster. So the monster finds Victor and he is telling Victor how he was longly and he doesn’t understand how it feels to be out in the world alone and the monster tells Victor he wants him to build him a wife and the monster promise Victor if he build the wife Victor will never see the monster or the wife again.

The monster is smart and he wants a wife so he want be alone in the world. The monster isn’t very bad the people made him like that because if them people wouldn’t yelled at him or chase and called him a monster he probably wouldn’t turned out the way he is now.

Journal #1 Frankenstein
The book I am reading is called Frankenstein and I haven’t got far in the book but I already know a few characters. The book starts off with a captain named Robert Walton and he and his crew was on a journey to the North Pole and they came across a man In the snow and his name was Victor Frankenstein. When I start reading the book I thought Frankenstein was the monster but Frankenstein is Victor’s last name and he made the monster.

Robert Walton brought Victor unto his ship and nursed him back to health and once Victor had enough strength to talk he was telling Robert what he was doing out here and how the whole thing started. Victor started his story from the beginning when he was a little boy. His father had a best friend named Beaufort and he had a daughter named Caroline. Beaufort gets sick and dies and Caroline is left all alone so Victor’s father takes Caroline in and Victor’s father and her gets married and had Victor.

Victor’s father has a sister and she had died and wanted Victor’s father to take care of her daugther Elizabeth. Caroline believed that Victor and Elizabeth was going to be married one day. Caroline had gotten real sick and died, so Elizabeth was like the woman of the house now. Victor had a younger brother named William and he had a best friend named Henry. Victor went off to Ingolstadt for school to study natural philosophy and he wanted to see if he could bring life to unmoving objects.

The book is different from what I thought it was about I thought Frankenstein was the monster. Its different from the Frankenstein that be on t.v. and I never seen the part where the captain was sailing to the north pole and didn’t know about all the other characters in the story.
